The cult classic and fan favorite 'True Legend' is now available for download via BitTorrent, has been remastered with 720p image, and features both the original 5.1 audio as well as surround sound. This release coincides with the Comic-Con screening of True Legend during this year's San Diego Comic-Con which was on July 22nd at 8:00pm. True Legend has been long discussed as one of the greatest martial arts films of all time and for many fans it is considered to be a 'must see'. The film stars Aaron Kwok who stars as Tien, a young fighter forced into indentured servitude by crime lord Tong Dawei (Leo Ku). Kwok is joined by rising star Maggie Q as female fighter-assassin Koi Cha. The film gained attention for the innovative fight scenes, choreographed by Yuen Wo Ping, legendary martial arts stunt coordinator. True Legend's post-production was completed in London after the British crew was brought in to complete the film. The European crew also worked on some of their own scenes which include 'Tong' fighting with a sword on his back. The resulting fight scene is immediately recognizable to fans of Yuen Wo Ping's style and was one of the first times that a stunt had been filmed with two cameras on two different stories. The Blu-ray was released on January 29, 2014. It includes an interview with director Quentin Tarantino which was shot in 2007 on the set of Kill Bill 2. The movie has English subtitles. True Legend features several of Hong Kong's best known actors, including Yuen Wah, Leo Ku, Maggie Q and Aaron Kwok. All of the action is choreographed by legendary stunt coordinator Yuen Wo Ping. "True Legend" grossed HK$34,021,474 during its theatrical run in Hong Kong from 15 May to 6 June 2003. It had total admissions of 356,667 during its theatrical run there. The movie was released on DVD in the United States by Orchard Enterprises on November 4, 2003. The DVD release is an R1 NTSC format disc.
